OkCupid Registration
You can join OkCupid by answering few questions. First step requires your email address. After that, you need to provide your password and you will continue with onboarding process.
Onboarding will help you set up your profile to meet new people. You will get series of questions, such as your first name, your gender, birth date and location.
Later on you will be asked some questions about what are you looking for to find the right people for you. You will have to answer such questions as what connections you are looking for. You can choose from such options as Hookups, New friends, Short-term dating or Long-term dating. Later on you need to provide information about person you are looking for, such as gender of the person you are looking for, age range.
After providing this information, you have to upload photo from Facebook, your PC or Instagram. Photos need to be larger than 400x400px and you have to be in the photo.
During next step you you have to describe yourself in short introduction.
You will get 15 additional questions, that should you should answer in order to calculate your best matches. In this stage you provide answers how you see on some issues, such as discussing politics, settling down, etc. You also have to provide answers that you expect from potential partners. If you do not know answers or don’t want to answer some questions, you can skip them.
You have nearly completed your registration by answering those questions. Last step is to confirm your phone number.

When you complete your registration, you go to to DoubleTake page where you can Like or Pass profiles in similar way as Tinder or Badoo. However, you can see much more information on the DoubleTake screen compared to similar sites. When liking or passing on profiles you can see name, age, location, match percentage, photos and additional information such as height, languages, degree, smoking status, kid status and more. People you mutually like will be shown in Matches section.
Another way to look for a date is to use Discover feature, where you can see profiles of members who mentioned specific topic on their profile, i.e. Theatre, Watching Movies, etc. The same page also shows top matches for you based on your answers. If you want to improve your matches, you can do that by answering additional questions. This page also shows snapshots of other people profiles, information on what people are talking about, recent Instagram posts or profiles of people based on Questions you care about. In addition you can see list of people who were recently online.
Search function allows you to see the list of people based on your criteria. There are plenty of filters, however some of them are available only to A-List members. These filtered profiles can be sorted based on Special Blend, Match percentage, Distance or Last Online.
Communication is always free, so you can reply to a message from another person.
In order to increase your chances, it is suggested to be active by adding photos, editing profile and answering match questions. It will increase your visibility to others.
Your profile page offers different options to provide more information about yourself. Instead of only providing closed questions where you need to choose from provided options, you have possibility to answer to different types of open questions, such as what is your current goal, the last show you binged and more. You can also personalize your matches based on interesting topics. If you use Instagram, you can add your feed to your profile as well. You can also add additional information, such as your height, body type, ethnicity, languages, etc.
Most OkCupid services are free of charge, however some premium features are available only to A-List Basic or Premium paid members.
